Australian Open 2008: Baghdatis defeats Safin in Epic Clash

The Cypriot Tennis superstar Marcos Baghdatis has defeated the powerful Marat Safin on Russia in a thrilling five set match at the Australian Open 2008. The Baghdatis Vs Safin match had all the drama everyone could have wished for, and Baghdatis showed why he still remains the crowd favorite at the Australian Open.

The Australian Open second round match was played at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. Baghdatis - a finalist in 2006 looked extremely strong in the early stages of the match, taking the first two sets comfortably both with a score of 6-4 each.
